Jimma University Officials Visit the College of Engineering and LPES

Senior leadership of Jimma University in Ethiopia  visited the University of Wisconsin-Madison in September to discuss current collaborations with UW Health and future collaborations with other colleges at UW-Madison. Their visit included a trip to the College of Engineering and to visit Prof. Andrews’ Laboratory for Printed Electronics and Sensors. The fruitful discussion focused on global engineering challenges and how they can be approached through academic research and international collaboration. More about the group of officials and their collaboration with the UW-Madison can be found here and here.  Their trip is part of the recently signed memorandum of understanding between those two universities facilitated by the Global Health leader Dr. Dawd Siraj from the Department of Medicine at UW- Madison.
